Periodically, I’m going to feature quick little blurbs on fun artists who have been following me for a bit and who are frequently adding to my list of stalkers via Twitter and various other places. And, really, I win in this situation because I get to find out about starting artists that I would otherwise not necessarily know about and I get to hear their great tunes! Yay!!
So, without further ado, here’s Marissa Bregman. She’s kind of a folky/pop/rock artist, a little more upbeat than her folksy counterparts who I’ve written about before, but on the other hand, she’s not a bubble gum pop princess by any means. The songs I’ve sampled thus far seem very sweet and happy, if slightly pensive (Side note: can you say the word “pensive” without thinking about the douche from 10 Things I Hate about You? No? Me either.)
Here’s one of her New York Minutes, and while the slow-motion of the quick little video is [I think] kinda funny, her music is nice to listen to. Enjoy!!
